What happens here
These are recurring annual events, not a dated calendar. We list the pattern — the month, and the weekend a thing has always fallen on — because a stale date is worse than none at all. Confirm this year’s dates with the organiser before you book anything.

Florida Forest Festival
Perry's defining weekend, running since 1956 when it began as the Pine Tree Festival. The King Tree Parade rolls down Jefferson Street on the Saturday morning, and the World's Largest Free Fish Fry is served at Forest Capital Park from noon, alongside chainsaw and cross-cut competitions, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show and the Great Race 5K.
